Bossuyt, PhD, is professor of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Amsterdam and heads the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. He originally trained in psychology at the University of Ghent (Belgium), with an emphasis on research methodology and judgment and decision behavior, and received a PhD in 1990 from the University of Nijmegen (The Netherlands). Before his present appointment, Dr. Bossuyt worked at the Center for Clinical Decision Making of the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, supporting clinical research projects in what is now Erasmus Medical Center.
